Salary: $65,000 per year

Other Forms of Compensation: Up to $2,500 annual bonus 

Reports to:  Sr. Director of Food and Nutrition

Schedule:  Full time; must be able to work a flexible schedule and 1 weekend per month.  Hours of operation are 6am-8pm.  More details are available upon interviewing.

Job Summary

The Patient Services Manager will lead food and nutrition patient services within a hospital setting. This role oversees daily operations for an average census of 200–230 patients, ensuring high-quality service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while maintaining strong patient satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage patient dining services based on medical directives and patient population needs
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop patient services team members
  • Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions, special diets, and patient food preferences within clinical guidelines
  • Drive patient satisfaction initiatives and ensure service excellence standards are met
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, including HIPAA and patient rights policies
  • Participate in and/or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Required: Healthcare experience in patient services, food & nutrition (hospital experience strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 1+ year of leadership or management experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Service, or related field preferred
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) strongly preferred
  • ServSafe® certification preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and diet office systems
  • Strong computer skills, including email and internet applications
