Reports to: Director of Food and Nutrition
Schedule: Full time; primarily Monday through Friday with a mix of 1st and 2nd shift and one weekend per month (1 every 4th week). More details are available upon interviewing.

Job Summary
As Patient Services Manager, you will assist in the successful operation of patient services within the food & nutrition department in an acute care hospital. They will oversee a team of patient services associates including hourly supervisors, tray passers, prep, dishwashers, and office support. They will provide strategic oversight, staffing coordination, quality assurance, collaborating with nursing and clinical teams, and performance management while working closely with supervisors to maintain service consistency, food safety, and patient satisfaction. Initiatives focused on food quality metrics, frontline engagement, and unit‑level collaboration are central to how the department operates. This department is well‑suited for a hands-on leader who excels in a high‑volume, patient‑focused environment, that values team development and accountability, and is committed to delivering exceptional service through structured operations and strong interdisciplinary relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes goals and oversees implementation of patient food services needs based upon medical direction and patient population
- Hires, directs, coaches, trains, and develops patient service team members
- Complies with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of the diet order limitations
- Ensures patient services staff assists in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals
- Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
- Participates in/ leads patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
Qualifications:
- 2 years of dietary/food service management experience in acute care or long term care/senior living
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Associates degree or higher in Nutrition, Food Service Management, or related field of study is preferred
- ServSafe® certification preferred
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet, electronic medical record, and diet office systems
